Hey there! We’re excited to present to you the newest updates on the TOAnimate course and make an important announcement. It’s been quite busy so let’s hop right into it!
MAX and MAY
We are happy to say that both rigs are done now and we’re in the tweaking stage! We spent over 4 months perfecting Max’s facial rig and just released a video to show off all his features and versatility. Our goal is to provide feature quality rigs that have been lacking in Blender until now and we’re confident that we can deliver just that! The response we’ve received online from you guys has been overwhelmingly positive and for that, we thank you
Check out Max’s rig walkthrough and a sneak peek of May using the below links!
SETS and ASSETS
Our cockpit set is now partially rigged and divided into sections so that we can enable and disable individual areas, making it super easy to use!
We also have a rad camera rig that makes setting up shots intuitive and allows you to change the aim and depth of field quickly using visual aids. We’ll make a full-length video on how to use it for course members.
We’ve entered the alpha stage and are testing the picker’s basic functionality with friends before releasing it to the world! Stay tuned for more info soon.
To showcase our animation skills, course characters and assets, we will be releasing a cinematic promo once we’re closer to the pre-launch. We’re entering the blocking stage while also fine-tuning the assets, working with voice actors and a sound engineer. We hope that the final product will give you a good idea of our abilities and what YOU could achieve after completing the animation course.
! IMPORTANT !
To keep the quality of the course as high as possible, we decided to move the Kickstarter pre-launch to December 15. As much as we don’t like delaying the release, it gives us additional time to fine-tune every detail and not rush anything for the start date. We appreciate you sticking around and hope the delay is not a big inconvenience!
‘MAYA AND THE THREE’ Official Trailer
The official trailer for the Blender miniseries Maya and the Three is on YouTube! Check it out and get ready for the Netflix release on October 22. Since our entire team has worked on the show, we will be posting demo reels showcasing our contribution to the series after it’s been out for a few days.
We have 2.5 months left before the Kickstarter and still a lot to do. Right now, we are focusing on the cinematic and recording the lessons, finishing the Picker, publishing new info on the website and everything in-between. Stay in touch on our Instagram and Twitter and follow 3DAnimationHub on YouTube for Blender tutorials and course info/polls on the community page.
