Another month, another newsletter. June was a very fruitful month for us and we managed to make great progress on the course.
A lot of work has been happening in the background — coding the animation picker, rigging the characters, registering TOAnimate as a company… but don’t worry, we also have some cool visuals to show you!
Since the first release of the course will focus on beginners, we want to make sure you have access to some nice rigs while doing simple exercises. A bouncing ball is a necessity, but we’ve also designed this cute squishy monkey with a tail for you to practice some overlapping action. Keeping it simple but fun!
Max is currently being rigged and even though it’s still early, he already has integrated IK/FK matching. We want to make sure these characters are high quality, fast, and render beautifully.
Blender Basics Lessons
We’re almost done writing the Blender Basics portion of the course.
This section will purely focus on getting you up to speed with your Blender you have never touched the software before. We’ll be there with you every step of the way, providing all the materials you need, as well as technical support in case you run into issues!
3D Animation Hub
If you’re curious about our approach to teaching, check out Brian’s newest video on breathing animation!
We have a lot planned for July!
Our main goal is to have a working prototype of the animation picker, so that we can polish the functionality and make it look good!
We’ll also be recording the first batch of lectures and designing yet ANOTHER character.
And since time flies so fast, we’re now planning out the Kickstarter and adding more information to the website, so that the campaign is ready for launch come fall.
That’s it from us, we look forward to connecting with you again soon!
