Hey everyone! We’re back with the January newsletter. We have some important news and changes to fill you in on, so let’s get straight into it:
TOANIMATE COMMUNITY MOVED TO CIRCLE (GOOD-BYE DISCORD)
We originally intended to use Discord for our forum and communication between students and teachers. After setting everything up, we realized Discord is not the best solution for our needs and discovered that the Circle platform is directly integrated with Teachable (you can sign in with your Teachable account). It offers a lot more options for us to create a proper community where we can share course updates, resources, industry news, host contests and most importantly, have a forum where you can ask questions and have all of your FAQ answered.
This transition sets us back a bit, as we have to build it up from scratch, but we promise it’s going to be A LOT better for everyone in the end!
We have officially set the launch date for the Kickstarter members to Saturday, February 19. We chose to wait till the weekend because this allows us to be fully available to you, should you have any questions or technical issues while setting yourself up (full-time jobs are no joke in this industry! 😄).
WHAT TO EXPECT ON FEB 19
By purchasing during the Kickstarter per-sale, you get to pitch in on what sort of lessons and assets you’d like to see, thus helping create your ideal course. On top of that, we will have stretch goals once the full course is funded. Any extra funds will go towards creating more assets, rigs, and lessons, to make the course even bigger and better. And of course, you’ll get to secure your package at almost half the price, which is the cheapest it will ever be!
Max is officially fully done and ready for you! After working on the cinematic for several weeks, we compiled a list of improvements and features we wanted to add to the rig. Max’s hands and feet have a lot more properties now, his face feels even more fleshy and connected, and the textures are a lot cleaner and crisper. We will be transferring the same changes to May in the coming days and creating a detailed walkthrough video to teach you how to best use the rigs.
We’ve given the main page of our website a bit of a facelift. It’s a lot more simplified, with less text and straight to the point. Go check it out - we hope you like the changes!
Phew, that was a lot! We hope you’re ready to get started, and thank you for your patience as we continue working on the course.
